This 'brand' was considered very elegant in the forties (I doubt it was owned by Marlboro then?), and was frequently used as a 'prop' in movies, e.g., NOW VOYAGER, wherein Claude Rains places two in his mouth to light and share one with Bette Davis; at the time this was considered sophisticated, as were these particular cigarettes, rather like clove cigarettes. (She actually blows smoke in his face, presumably then considered a come-on, or perhaps a reflection of her naivete,now, long an insult.)&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
