Brand Victory

To help bolster sagging spirits during those dark days at the beginning of World War Two, several of America's small tobacco companies produced patriotic cigarette brands. Axton-Fisher made All American and Axton Victory Specials, Alliance produced Khakis, and Leighton made Victory. Other manufacturers used war slogans, such as "Keep 'em Flying" or "Buy War Bonds," as part of the design on their packages of Wings, Old Gold, Regent, Pall Mall, and Raleigh. The Leighton Tobacco Company of New York City began making their Victory Cigarettes circa 1942.
